Update (5:06pm): Per Bryan Hoch, Pineda will miss the entire year, according to Brian Cashman which was fully expected. Mark Feinsand also reports that Cash believes it took place on the last pitch of his 15-pitch rehab bullpen because all other MRI's came back clean. What a bummer. And hopefully we see him again.
Original (4:57pm): Per Marc Carig, Michael Pineda has a torn anterior labrum which he will go for arthroscopic surgery for on Tuesday. This is just about the worst it could be and I can't imagine he'll be pitching this year. Although, as David Waldstein points out, the fact that it's gonna be done with a scope is very good news. Hope for the best. May be updated later.
