Update (10:15pm): According to Joe Girardi, Brett Gardner has re-strained the elbow that landed him on the DL in the first place and will be shut down for at least ten days. The skipper said it could take as long as a month to get him back which sucks pretty bad. Gardy would have been a good upgrade in the lineup and especially in the field, but it looks like we'll have to wait longer.
Original (4:15pm): Per Mark Feinsand, Brett Gardner had a little setback with his elbow and is being sent for an MRI. Marc Carig reports that he felt discomfort and had swelling in the elbow today. He had played two games for Triple-A Scranton before coming back to New York to be re-examined. We were all hoping he would be back today, but it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer at least.
