Brian Cashman Hurts Ankle After Skydiving

New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman suffered a right ankle injury after skydiving to promote awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project. The 45-year-old reported a pop in his ankle upon landing and was taken to the hospital.

This was Cashman's first and second time jumping out of the Army aircraft. The first clean went well, while the ankle injury occurred after the second jump. Among his other daredevil antics, Cashman has repelled down a 22-story building in the last three years.

The last ankle injury to take a hit on the Yankees was Derek Jeter's broken ankle during the 2012 American League Division Series. Cashman was not a candidate to replace Curtis Granderson in left-field.
